First of all, the one I'm sure so many of you know about, is the current economic crisis. I know, I know, most professionals will say that we're actually recovering and we just need to HAVE FAITH and the economy will work!
Well, that's bullshit. These guys have no idea why we got into the previous recession (2008) or the one before that (2001). The problem is, of course, that Corporations have gotten in bed with the Government. The one most people are familiar with as being associated with the economy is the Federal Reserve. Yeah, THAT federal reserve. They're the guys who make those pretty little bills you've got in your wallet. The problem is, those pretty little bills are made out of thin air. They have no real value. Well, ok. I guess they have value if you need a piece of paper to write something on, but that's nowhere near the value they currently have to buy things.
The reason they are used so much nowadays is mostly because of habit, legal tender laws, and taxes. You have to have them to pay taxes, so you might as well use them so you have that kind of currency on hand. Also, everyone has been using them for as long as anyone can remember. Finally, if you DON'T use them, there's no guarantee that anyone will accept the way you want to pay!
Now, this wouldn't be too bad, except that because it's so easy to make new money, the Fed does it way too much. Now of course, they don't just print out a bunch of bills and hand them out to people. Nope, they have a distributor: the government and banks. Most of the way the government gets the money they give to people for things like welfare and paying their defense contracts is through money "printed by the Fed. I say "printed" because a lot of the time they're just adding a few electronic units to a bank account somewhere.

Our World is Screwed
If there's anything everyone can agree on these days, it's that we are all screwed. We've got pollution everywhere, millions go hungry every day, we're running out of all the stuff we need, and so much more! And you know the worst thing about it, no one seems to care! We've got these corporations literally screwing everyone over for a little bit of profit, and no one in Washington wants to do anything about it because they're on their payroll!
There are so many things wrong with the world these days, and I just want to be another helper in the effort in letting the common man know how screwed we all are.
